Speech for the Young Science Enthusiast

Do you love your classes on Outschool? Would you love to teach a science themed class of your own? In this ongoing class, students can pretend to be a teacher on Outschool while working on their public speaking and research skills. Each week you can share a lesson with the class. This is an ongoing class and each week does not build on the last, therefore, you can join at any time.

Each week you can teach about a different subject. You can dress up as a teacher and bring props or pictures to go along with your lesson. Each student presentation will be about 2-5 minutes depending on the student as well as the class size. A one page worksheet/graphic organizer will be provided to each student that should be completed before class. Some learners complete a slideshow presentation in Canva or Powerpoint before class, however, this is not required and not an aspect of the class. The only required pre-class activity is completing the worksheet in order to have a plan regarding what to say.  

This is a student led class and a fun opportunity for students to pretend to be a teacher. Students will get to ask each other questions and discuss the subject matter of the presentations.  

Students will post what they will be talking about to the classroom message board before class.
