Stellar Spellers! Vocabulary Building

In this super fun ongoing class, students will play fun games to help them learn challenging new words like "abdicate," "cantankerous," and "despondent."  Students will get the opportunity to learn 5 new words each week. This class will focus on both spelling and vocabulary building.  

This will be a highly interactive course where students will get to have fun playing virtual games while expanding their vocabulary.  

This class is for students who are interested in and prepared to learn advanced spelling and vocabulary words. Students should be proficient in both reading and spelling and seeking an additional challenge.  

Students can join or leave this class at any time. Each week's vocabulary list is stand-alone and no knowledge of the prior week's lists is necessary.  

𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭: Students who are not familiar with navigating more than one computer window may need adult help setting up their game prior to class or at the beginning of class. Students will receive a link to the game prior to class. Students should have their game window pulled up in a separate browser window from zoom prior to class. Students can also join the game from a separate device.  
-- Students that are on a tablet but only have one device can still join, however, they will be able to hear, be heard, and play during class but will not see their classmates or be seen in zoom when they have navigated to the game. Some students may need help navigating back to the zoom window on their device when they are done playing the game.
