Fraction Frenzy: Fun With Virtual Games | Elementary Fractions Review

This four week course will cover key elementary fractions concepts. This course covers adding and subtracting fractions with like denominators, multiplying fractions, dividing fractions, and adding and subtracting fractions with unlike denominators.  

The first class of the week will begin with a lesson on how to complete the skill of the week. Then, learners will participate in helping solve some equations. Learners will then will have the opportunity for independent practice through the use of fun virtual games.  

The second class of the week will begin with a short review of how to complete the skill of the week and will be followed by playing games with classmates

𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭: Students who are not familiar with navigating more than one computer window may need adult help setting up their game prior to class or at the beginning of class. Students should have their game window pulled up in a separate browser window from zoom prior to class. Students can also join the game from a separate device.  

-- Students that are on a tablet but only have one device can still join, however, they will be able to hear, be heard, and play during class but will not see their classmates or be seen in zoom when they have navigated to the game. Some students may need help navigating back to the zoom window on their device when they are done playing the game.
