Do you love big sparkly eyes, fluffy hairstyles, and the cutest smiles? Our drawing class is the perfect place to learn how to create characters full of charm! Join our exciting and fun-filled art class, where you’ll learn to illustrate a variety of adorable and expressive anime, kawaii, and chibi characters. No experience is necessary—just bring your enthusiasm and creativity!
In this class, we’ll guide you through step-by-step drawing techniques, starting with the fundamentals of sketching basic shapes like circles and ovals to create the framework for your characters. From there, we’ll teach you how to add defining features such as expressive eyes, unique hairstyles, and dynamic poses, ensuring your characters come to life with personality.
Class Schedule:
Week of Aug 12 – ✍️ Draw a chibi character with sparkles and flair
Week of Aug 19 – ✍️ Draw Sailor Moon in her iconic outfit with her flowing hair
Week of Aug 26 – ✍️ Illustrate Izuku Midoriya in action, showcasing his determined expression and hero pose.
Week of Sep 2 – ✍️ Draw Ochaco Uraraka in a heroic pose
Week of Sep 9 – ✍️ Draw chibi versions of adorable animal companions with oversized features
Week of Sep 16 – ✍️ Illustrate Sailor Jupiter with floral and lightning motifs.
Week of Sep 23 – ✍️ Design a chibi rockstar diva with flashy costumes and a microphone.
Week of Sep 30 – ✍️ Illustrate Sailor Mercury with her visor and computer.
Week of Oct 7 – ✍️ Capture Tsuyu Asui with her frog-like characteristics
Week of Oct 14 – ✍️ Draw a chibi princess with a tiara and royal gown in a whimsical setting.
Our lessons will also cover design principles such as proportion, symmetry, and balance to help you craft visually appealing compositions. You’ll learn techniques for creating texture and depth, using shading and highlights to add dimension to your artwork.
We encourage creativity and support each learner in developing their unique artistic style. You’ll have the opportunity to experiment with different tools and mediums, such as pencils and markers, to discover what works best for you.
Throughout the class, you can share your artwork either during or after the session, allowing you to showcase your imaginative characters in a supportive and fun environment!
