Are you intrigued by the distinct art style of anime and manga characters and eager to learn how to create your own? This beginner-friendly drawing class is the perfect place to start! Whether you’re interested in drawing expressive eyes or designing unique hairstyles, we’ll guide you step-by-step in bringing your characters to life.
In this class, you’ll learn how to draw anime characters by focusing on a different feature each week. We’ll start with the basics of sketching simple shapes and build up to more detailed features like eyes, hair, and expressions. No experience is needed—just bring your creativity and excitement!
Weekly Schedule:
Week of Aug 12 – ✍️ Eyes – Learn to draw expressive anime eyes that convey emotion.
Week of Aug 19 – ✍️ Hands – Master the art of drawing hands in different poses.
Week of Aug 26 – ✍️ Heads – Understand head shapes and proportions for anime.
Week of Sep 2 – ✍️ Emotions – Capture emotions through facial expressions.
Week of Sep 9 – ✍️ Hair – Explore techniques for drawing anime hairstyles.
Week of Sep 16 – ✍️ Mouths – Draw mouth shapes to depict different emotions.
Week of Sep 23 – ✍️ Body – Learn basic body proportions and sketch dynamic figures.
Week of Sep 30 – ✍️ Poses – Create poses that emphasize movement and action.
Week of Oct 7 – ✍️ Feet – Practice drawing feet from various angles for realism.
Week of Oct 14 – ✍️ Shoes – Design anime-style shoes, from sneakers to boots.
Week of Oct 21 – ✍️ Clothing Tops – Draw tops like t-shirts and jackets with detail.
Week of Oct 28 – ✍️ Clothing Bottoms – Sketch pants, skirts, and shorts realistically.

Our lessons will also cover design principles such as proportion, symmetry, and balance to help you craft visually appealing compositions. You’ll learn techniques for creating texture and depth, using shading and highlights to add dimension to your artwork.
We encourage creativity and support each learner in developing their unique artistic style. You’ll have the opportunity to experiment with different tools and mediums, such as pencils and markers, to discover what works best for you.
Throughout the class, you can share your artwork either during or after the session, allowing you to showcase your imaginative characters in a supportive and fun environment!
